Tour
Gene Hoglan worked as a roadie for Slayer performing Lombardo's soundchecks.
Slayer and Hoglan would play Dark Angel songs during sound checks.
Hoglan and Slayer parted ways, and Tom Araya's brother John Araya took over. The band performed a show in Seattle in front of a crowd of 1500, the largest show they performed at the time, supporting Metal Church, and played with a band also called Slayer in San Antonio Texas at La Villa Fontanna. The real Slayer won the right to use the name SLAYER.
That show is known as Slayer versus Slayer, or The Battle of the Slayers
"SA" Slayer released a few albums before finally, quitting.
