The '''Pawns of Christ ''' ''concept'', was created by drummer Mykill in 2001, yet there was no actual band. Pawns really has not been active until winter 2011. June of 2012, they played 1 show locally then disappeared again. During September 2012, the group disbanded due to unknown reasons. March 2013, they re-appeared.
It is stated on their official site, the name of the band, is not anti-religion or meant with any negative connotation. Lyrical content of their songs is mostly about the brutality of this world. The music is diverse, but their roots are "Metal" and Death Metal. Speed picking and up-tempo drum beats with blasts.
