Jeff Loomis (born September 14 1971) is the lead guitarist for the band, Nevermore. He has listed guitarists Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony MacAlpine, Jason Becker and Marty Friedman as his influences.

Equipment

Loomis plays Schecter seven string guitars, including the Jeff Loomis C7 FR Signature Model with EMG 707 pickups and Floyd Rose tremolo.

also plays a Schecter C-7 Hellraiser with EMG 707 (active humbucker pickups), and a C-7 Blackjack with the Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups.

the Jeff Loomis Signature Schecter 7 string, based on the C-7 Hellraiser model. It features the EMG 707 active pickups, ash body and three piece maple neck.

2008 a new signature model was released, it is the same as the other one but has a fixed bridge rather than of a Floyd Rose tremolo (whammy bar).

It is said Loomis uses SIT .10 gauge strings, but he is not on their site. On Jeff's personal site, he still states he still uses Ernie Ball .10's, yet on their site, he is no longer listed.

Jeff Loomis endorses ENGL Amplification.
