Cazares' main guitars in Fear Factory were custom-made 7-string  Ibanez models with Seymour Duncan Blackouts pickups(usually de-tuned a whole step to allow for even lower registers). In Asesino he uses an Ibanez prototype 8-string guitar (standard tuning with two extra basses: (F#,B,E,A,D,G,B, E) with Seymour Duncan Blackout 8 active pickups. His guitar tone ''was'' from a modified Marshall JCM800 head with scooped mids and high treble settings to produce the tone which has been so influential to metal players.

Dino Cazares with Ibanez RG2228 Prestige 8-String

Dino Cazares, born in El Centro, California (09/02/1967), is the guitarist for Fear Factory. He also plays in the bands Divine Heresy and Asesino.

Before joining Fear Factory, Cazares was in a grindcore band, Excruciating Terror.

Dino Cazares met drummer Raymond Herrera and formed Fear Factory in 1989 under the name Ulceration(renamed to Fear Factory in 1990).
