James MacDonough

James MacDonough born on April 3, 1970 in Jacksonville, Florida.

He is a bass guitarist. He has played with Iced Earth, Nevermore, and most recently, Megadeth.

• started playing music in sixth grade, and went through school playing various instruments in Jazz, Orchestra and the marching band.

• started playing bass guitar Christmas of fourteenth year.

• started on an old Guild B301

• high school band called Prodigy with Kent(guitar) and Brent Smedley(drums)

• few years later, a band called Mad Axe, and then Brutal Assault.

• got back with the Smedley brothers in Odyssey.

• got into Iced Earth in 1996.
• Diminished Fifth is a current project of James.

• In the summer of 2004 got the gig with Megadeth
