Erik Keith Brann, aka Erik Braunn and Erik Braun, was a guitarist for the 1960s band Iron Butterfly.

Erik joined Iron Butterfly at the age of sixteen, he was the last of over forty guitarists to audition and was accepted on the spot.

He is featured on the band's greatest hit, the legendary 17-minute complete Side A title In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida from 1968, which was recorded when he was just 17. The song was picked due to lack of material for the album and extended to fill the aloted time[1]

Erik died of a heart attack in 2003.[2] This followed an ongoing struggle with complications from a birth defect that Braunn had battled for years.
