'''S.A. Sanctuary''' (or SA San Antonio Sanctuary) was a metal band from [[San Antonio Texas]].
==Biography==
The band has gone through many members since it's inception. When the band started out in the early-mid 1980's, they were under the name Sanctuary. Later, a band from Washington State would use the name as well and get signed, so rather than feud over the name, guitarist founder Orrie Velasquez V. opted to alter the band name from Sanctuary to S.A. Sanctuary to avoid confusion. When the band started out, it was more of a metal / hard rock band, similar to Iron Maiden.
Through out time as members changed, so did the musical style of the band. From 2000 onward, they were mainly considered Thrash, with some material stemming into Death Metal.
