original Promises cd single cover (2002)

Released in 2002 as a single, Promises, was S.A. Sanctuary's "radio friendly" song on Abandon In Place. It was played quite often on the radio in Texas and most of the South-West United States.

5000 copies of this single were pressed, and sold. None remain in the band or labels possession.

Prisoner of Hope was a previously unreleased song recorded during a studio session that included 2 others. 3, in total, were recorded. The other 2 have never surfaced anywhere, as far that known.

Subsequently, Prisoner Of Hope also went on to be a good fit for the radio, and became another SA SANCTUARY song that was on commercial radio in those same regions.

Prisoner Of Hope was added to the Promises single as a last minute decision to include a "B-SIDE" track. Simply as a kind gesture of the band to give those that bought the single something new and extra for their money.

It was never thought to become as popular as it did.
