Pawns of Christ was a metal / death metal band from San Antonio, Texas.

short history
Pawns of Christ first show was in August of 2003. Their next show was during October of 2005 in Corpus Christi with Exodus, Crisis, and 3 Inches of Blood. Their last show ever, was 2019 March.
biography
The Pawns of Christ concept, was created by drummer Mykill in 2001, yet there was no actual band. Pawns really has not been active until winter 2011. June of 2012, they played 1 show locally then disappeared again. During September 2012, the group disbanded due to unknown reasons. March 2013, they re-appeared.
It is stated on their official site, the name of the band, is not anti-religion or meant with any negative connotation. Lyrical content of their songs is mostly about the brutality of this world. The music is diverse, but their roots are "Metal" and Death Metal. Speed picking and up-tempo drum beats with blasts. With the addition of "Carnage" Fitzgerald, the band became 100% Death Metal band. Previous vocalists did high shrill screams with not much lows. Some songs even had rock band style singing.

- 2018 till the end, were the most productive years of the project. 2011 to 2017 were very stagnant, self-releasing only 3 songs in that 6 year time frame.

January 2017, the band ended due to a serious injury of an unspecified member.
2018
September 2018, the band added a new front-man to fulfill 3 September shows.
As of November 2018, they were in a studio recording an EP (unknown title).
March 2019
2019 they did only few shows.
Sept 2019
The "poc" URL has been deleted, therefore proving the band has ended with no intentions of reforming.
