Insatanity is an American death metal band from Philadelphia whose uncompromising style helped to define the American Northeast’s uniquely brutal death template, alongside the likes of Vital Remains, Suffocation, and Immolation. Insatanity's stage shows became well known for the use of candelabras and fog.

Biography

Formed in 1992, the band worked up a few demos, Insatanity, Ad Maiorem Satanae Gloriam, and Unholiness Rising, before unleashing their debut album, "Divine Decomposition", in 1995, at which time their lineup consisted of vocalist Mark Rhochar, guitarists Dan Roberts and Jay Lipitz, bassist Chris Lytle, and drummer Matt Mazzenga. In 1997’s they released the "Vengeance from Beyond the Grave" EP. During that time, they began playing Fests, touring, and writing new material. In August 2005, they released, The Black Stone EP. It wasn't til 2008, their third album, entitled The Day God Died was released. The band is currently on hiatus while the current members are taking part in their other projects. A fourth album is in the writing stages.
