Dead Skin Mask is a Slayer tribute band. They started in 1991 by drummer Mike "mykill" R. in New England. In 1999, Dead Skin Mask relocated to Texas, re-grouped, toured Japan in 2004.
They have been voted "Best Tribute Band" in a 2005 magazine called Law Of Inertia by its readers. (beating out another Slayer tribute, which came in #5). It is said that Dead Skin Mask released a cd in 2004[1].
Dead Skin Mask is the only tribute to make it into blabbermouth[2]. and knac.[3].
