Alive in Athens – The DVD is a 2006 DVD release from Century Media featuring live footage of Iced Earth's 1999 concert at The Rodon in Athens, Greece.
Recording took place during two separate nights, January 23, and the 24th. Audio recordings of these concerts are also available on the live album of the same name.
Notes
This DVD was released by the bands, at the time, former label after Iced Earth was no longer with them. Here is part of a statement released by Jon Schaffer to Iced Earth fans:
- ...I want you all to be aware of what it is that they (Century Media) are releasing. This is a very low-budget, badly edited video of an amazing concert and an awesome period in the history of Iced Earth. They promised me that they are going to keep the price down and that they are not going to market it as something it's not. But I feel it's my responsibility to let you know the reality of the situation."
