  '''Pawns of Christ''' is was a metal / death metal band from San Antonio, Texas. ==short history==Pawns of Christ first show was in August of 2003. Their next show was during October of 2005 in Corpus Christi with Exodus, Crisis, and 3 Inches of Blood. Their last show ever, was 2019 March<!---28/12/18--->. 

The '''Pawns of Christ ''' ''concept'', was formed created by drummer Mike Reykjavik Mykill in 2002 due to his, at the time2001, yet there was no actual band always falling short of expectations. Pawns played 4 shows in summer 2002 and really has not been active until winter 2011. A CD was in the works and possibly a tour for summer 2012. June of 2012, they played 1 show locally then disappeared again. During September 2012, the group disbanded due to unknown reasons. It has been stated during March 2013, they re-appeared. It is stated on their official site, the homepage name of the band, they is not anti-religion or meant with any negative connotation. Lyrical content of their songs is mostly about the brutality of this world. The music is diverse, but their roots are now playing again "Metal" and writing materialDeath Metal.<ref> PawnsSpeed picking and up-tempo drum beats with blasts.
